If you’ve been in business for any length of time, you’ll start to hear people say; they hate selling.
Or worse, they will give up altogether because they can’t get prospects to buy, or join opportunities.
Now, it’s not as difficult as you might think… Especially when you know the truth about buying, and that truth is..
Buying is 97% emotion!
Yes that’s right, emotion is the driving force behind almost every buying decision… And buying is essentially, money exchanged for value.
So the secret is to tap into the emotional part of a humans brain… then your chances of making sales increases dramatically.
But the trick is to tap into the right emotions to get people to buy….
Here’s exactly 4 keys to focus on to trigger a prospect’s emotional hot-buttons to get them to hit the buy button.
4 Emotional Hot-Buttons That Get Prospects To Buy From YOU!
#1: What’s in it for me? Mentality
We all have this in us. Truth be told, your probably thinking this right now as you read this blog post, am I right?
But, let’s look at this as an emotional standpoint… We all dream for MORE! Be it more money, more time, more anything. We all want something we don’t have.
That’s why ‘What’s in it for me?’ will grab attention if you use it in your marketing. You see it in nearly every headline using the word MORE. ‘Get MORE Leads’, ‘Make MORE Money’, ‘Lose MORE Weight’, and so on.
So don’t judge your prospects for being selfish because if they weren’t, they’ll properly never pay attention to you.
#2: Know, Like, and Trust
Over the past couple of blog posts I’ve talked about building a email list, and a lot about know, like, and trust.
Know: The repetition (communicating with prospects often) can build that know! This happens through email marketing with an autoresponder to send weekly, or daily emails.
Like: We tend to like someone who gives something to us of value. FYI: A free gift on a capture page!
Trust: This is the place where all marketers want to be. This is built through authority in some particular area. You see this in action every day with people like lawyers, and doctors. But, you don’t have to be a professional like them. You just have to provide consistent value!
#3: Social Proof
One of the most powerful things you can do is to provide social proof of people using a product and achieving results.
Outside people will see this and will start to want in. It’s just human nature to follow the crowd. Of course, you must use this responsibly because some marketers tend to mislead consumers.
But, if you can provide REAL testimonials of past customers, this can be highly effective.
#4: Scarcity Tactic
People hate to feel like they’re about to miss out on something.
When you utilize scarcity and can make prospects feel like something is about to go away (Pricing will go up, or a limited stock of something) it can cause them to act NOW instead of later.
I can’t think of a better example like Black Friday 🙂
Now that you are aware of these emotional hot-buttons, you can start applying them into your marketing and watch your sales go through the roof.
